I can't speak for most employers but I rather doubt it. Anything over 32 hrs constitutes full time employment and "SHOULD" provide benefits accordingly albeit with a hefty employee contribution I'm sure. Good luck. And unfortunately Z-Man some of us may have to continue to work to support our life style. Golfing, cruises, fishing, cruises, eating, cruises..... ;D

You might check with the Publix stores. They are usually looking for help.

And speaking of part time work at Publix - when I graduated from High School in Illinois in 1962 I came down to live with my grandparents in Bradenton, Fl. They had bought a retirement home in a new subdivision; a 2 bedroom 1 bath, about 900 SF, with a Florida Room for $5,400. I got a part time job at the local Publix at $1.00/Hr. (I had been working in Illinois for a Jewel Tea Store while in HS and was making $1.40). After working my butt off for three months, mostly unloading trucks starting at 5 AM, the manager came up to me and said I was doing a good job and he was giving me a raise. My next paycheck had the increase on it - a nickel an hour!

I quit the next week and for the next few months was a pool hustler working the salesmen driving down US 41 and made about $25 to $50 a Day. Soon got tired of that and went back to Illinois.
