I would like to start a support group for people with brain injuries. Where do I begin and/or what department in TV would I contact?

Call any recreation center and they will direct you.

lynn222:

The weekly Recreation News in the Daily Sun carries a 'survey' of interest item, where you can list your idea and a number for folks to call you.

Any Rec Center can help you work out when, where, etc. It would, of course, be best if you can settle on one center and always meet there, and always at the same time, etc.

Be aware that under rules adopted a couple of years ago, medically-oriented non-funded support groups meeting in Villages facilities may welcome non-Villagers to their meetings. I've found that the various centers may apply different rules on how to document the 'off-campus' visitors.

I wish you luck. Support groups are wonderful entities. I participate in two, and never even thought about doing so "up north."

I thinkthis would be a great support group. We have moved to TV with our 33 y/o son who had a traumatic birth. We'd love to meet other people in TV. Connie
