I could do it with the old fitted ones that only had elastic on the corners, but not the ones that have elastic all the way around. I can’t find and align the corners and it’s impossible to flatten all the gathers created by the elastic.

If you want the best sheet in the industry try Members Mark 450 Thread Count not the hotel one just Members Mark, it is a little less thick now than before covid ugh but it is hands down the best sheet on the market!

Take your current sheets and 4 golfballs (like finding 4 of those here would be an issue, right?)

As you put each corner on the bed, tuck one golfball inside each far corner, on the underside of the sheet, as far into the corner as possible.

Do one side of the bed (top and bottom) then the other side.

Immediate pressure induced tight sheets for your sleeping enjoyment regardless of how restless a sleeper you are. And FYI, YES, works on adjustable bedding as well.
I guess that's where the saying "it takes balls" comes from?

When in the Air Farce, I was in a year-long Electronics school, which was GOOD! The BAD part came about because the Airmen were treated like BASIC recruits - meaning, a lot of chicken-do-do baby things to keep us occupied on the afternoons after classes like meaningless marching, shining shoes endlessly, and being inspected at ANY time for a PERFECTLY-made bed. And the sheets were cheap and made of rough cloth.
.......So, our solution was to work very hard and make the bed perfectly TIGHT. So tight that you could bounce a coin off of it. Then, at "lights out" time, we would sleep on top of the blanket with a 2nd blanket which we hide in our footlocker. In the morning we would be able to pass any inspection just by tightening up the bed. Very convoluted, but it worked. I might present this as a suggestion to anyone in TV Land that NEEDS tight sheets.
.....Post Script ....It was a long year and made me HATE the Air Farce right from the "get-go"! Needless to say, I never intended to "re-up" after that 1st taste of bureaucratic BS. And The Air Farce spent a lot of money to give me electronics knowledge and they say they lose money on TRAINED "troopers" that leave after their 1st 4 years.

"golf balls said the Queen if I had them, I would be.........a sleeper on TIGHT sheets"! But seriously (almost serious), that is a good tip. And a better use for golf balls than beating them around a pasture and then walking after them - and repeating, endlessly!

I have been thinking along those same lines about MOST all of the threads that I have seen lately. It IS a good thing that there are so LITTLE newsworthy situations going on in the world and the US today! In today's America, we have practically perfect health, religious unity, racial harmony, a unified Washington, and VERY little strife worldwide.

I like “zip sheets”. Expensive but great for an adjustable bed. Bottom sheet is composed of two pieces. The base has really strong elastic and covers the side of the mattress that your body does not touch. The top piece is a flat rectangle that zips with a covered zipper to the bottom section. You seldom wash the side base and the portion that you sleep on just unzips and only covers the top of the mattress. You don’t have to lift and tuck corners after the initial installation. No matter how you adjust the bed, the sheet never slips off the corner. YouTube has some videos to watch.

I agree with Bambi, I LOVE zip sheets. We have split king adjustable bed and changing sheets was practically impossible even with two of us working together. Now it takes me about 3 minutes to get sheets off or on with no back breaking issues. Yes they are expensive but a chiropractor more expensive!

Thank you, Bambi and Mudder. Husband has had to learn to sleep on his back, due to serious back issues. We got an adjustable split king bed so that he can set his side in a "pretzel" configuration that forces him to sleep on his back. But attempting to change the sheets is the very worst of all household chores. The "fitted" sheets always come out bunched up since we are neither tall enough nor flexible enough to reach the mattresses in the middle of the bed.

I once saw some of these or similar sheets on Amazon but they didn't have any at the time and couldn't say when they would have them. I stopped looking. So, now I'm happy for your comments and now know how to order them (Amazon or Quickzip), even though they are $$$$!
