Default Flag Poles

Where can I go (online) to get guidance on rules, regs, restrictions, etc...on putting in a flag pole?

I know they are allowed.....I just need to know if I have any paperwork to complete. The flag pole will be going in my backyard, not in the front/side of the house.

Here is a link to the Florida law on flags.

Statutes & Constitution :View Statutes : Online Sunshine

I don't think that the deed restrictions/covenants specifically address flags or flagpoles, and they would not be able to supersede the State law. So, basically, flagpoles are allowed in the front and back yards.

I can't remember where I heard this, but I was told it can't be more than 20' high.

you do need to get approval but, for me, it was a formality but good to have their approval first

Yes, that is correct, per Florida law. See the link in Post No. 2.

Default Sports or political flags

Reads like not sports team or political flags are allowed. However I have seem many of them hanging with the US flag.
