Default Can someone help me with Federal TSP withdrawal?

I am a retired federal employee with some money in a Thrift Savings Plan. I turn 71 in August, so I need to withdraw a few thousand dollars from my TSP.

I got the government forms to do the withdrawal, but they are very confusing and I doubt that I can fill them out correctly. Can someone help me with this?

If any of you are in my position and are also confused, maybe we can work on this together. Thanks.

My wife is also retired Federal and has a TSP. It's actually not hard to do, but yes the form can be daunting. She or I will be able to help you complete the form and get it working for you. We are busy this week, but would be available next week. PM me a contact number and we can set up a time.

My question regarding the RMD for the TSP program, Are you required to take your RMD as a monthly withdrawal or can you take your annual RMD at one time during the year ???

I2ridehd and Quietman, thank you very much for your quick responses. I2ridehd, since you wrote first, I will send you a PM so maybe we can get together next week.

The govt sent me a bunch of information, but I am afraid that if I tried to fill the forms out I would make a little mistake and, after waiting months for a reply, be told to do it all over again. Isn't that how things usually work?
