Question Transportation to Port of Miami

Am taking NCL Dawn out of POM Nov. 2, 2011. Had planned to use Connect2cruise bus from Summerfield as usual (the one that stops behind Mc D's and goes to Port Everglades and POM. However, it appears they do ONLY 7 day cruises and since this one leaves in the middle of the week, have not found transportation. Anyone know of any other buses that service cruise ports ?

In the past, we have used Cruise Connection. They also pick up in Summerfield behind the McDonalds - 7 days a week, I think. Give them a call at 1-800-226-5255.

Another alternative is to check with Enterprise Car Rental in The Villages and see about a one way rental to Miami with a drop off close to the port. You could do the same for the return dropping the car in The Villages.

When we returned from our TA in Miami last year, Enterprise would not do a one way rental Miami to The Villages. ORLANDO yes..MIAMI no!! It may be different from TV to Miami but I think they are different franchises and that is the problem for OW rentals within fl.

We used Crusie Connection bus service.

Howdy Jack,
We use Hertz in SS when we go back and forth from the Orlando airport. Much cheaper and we can come and go according to our schedule.

We got a pretty good price on a one way car rental from Hertz, picking up in Spanish Springs, then dropping off near the Port of Miami. The dropoff was a little hectic, because lots of people are doing the same thing. Free shuttle to ship.
