Default I voted early at the Lady Lake Library

The following are some wise hints for you all if you decide to vote early here:

Please make sure that you are a Lake County resident. A few people had to leave after waiting 20mins to vote because they were from Sumter County.

Be prepared to wait. The voting takes place on the second floor and is only accessible by elevator. The elevator operator will only let the same # of people on to go up to vote as the # that comes down. Two people come down- 2 people go up.

Once up there, be prepared to see at least 30-50 people waiting, depending on the time of day.

You are given a slip of paper to fill out and on the bottom is a # number. They will call that # when it is time for you to go to the 1st desk to verify your information. Please have your voter card and driver's license handy.

A few Village residents tried to give the hard working volunteers their Village's ID card. That won't do. Need a photo ID w/ a signature. The voter card tells the other volunteer which ballot to give you, depending on your district.

One lady tried to give them her Visa card.

I hope this info is helpful-

NOW GET OUT AND VOTE IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, read and study the ten constitutional amendments on the ballot before you go to vote, or you will be in the voting booth for an hour.

It will speed up any voting lines to know the amendments and how you are voting on each one. Waiting to read two pages of legal malarky will take up the time of your fellow voters.

Default About 30 people in line to vote on first floor of LLPL.

Was there at the Lady Lake PL yesterday afternoon. I estimate there were about 30 people waiting in line for the elevator. I was there using the library as I am a Sumter County resident who has a $20 semi-annual household library card.

Here is a link to an organization supported by the Florida Bar that provides objective information about these amendments. http://conrevflorida.org/category/2012amendments/

I voted early morning on Saturday and was done by 7:30AM. I pulled a detailed explanation along with the pro's and con's on all amendments from the internet and despite that fact had to spend a considerable amount of time digesting the ultimate affect each amendment would eventually create.

In future elections I am going strictly absentee ballot.

I am wondering what affect the northeaster/midwest storm is going to have on the election and/or if congrss will agree to extend the voting time?????

I'm waiting for a nicer day with shorter lines. The weather should be much better for the rest of the week.

I went yesterday (Sumter). Line was quite long. Approx. 1 3/4 hour. So....we went to the voter registration office, got absentee ballets, filled them out...gave them back to her...and done. One of the poll workers told us about this. A few others did this also. Then, after voting we signed up to receive all of the ballots for the future in the mail. The folks that got there the same time as us were still in line when we left.

I received my mail-in ballot over a month ago, filled it out at my leisure, and took it to my local election office's drive-through service. It couldn't have been easier, no photo ID required. I didn't even have to get out of my car. We are so lucky to have this option in Florida.-

Especially this time around. With all of the referendums, I feel that people might feel rushed if they didn't study it before hand. And some of them are quite important.

Voted today at 466A and Powell, about 45 minutes in line. Yesterday they said the line went well out the door...
BTW, since I have already voted, can I have all the political ads and commercials removed from my TV?

I know- please stop the ads. I wake up at night hearing, "I built a 30 ft stage, blah, blah," and I hear it in my head (along w/ the Geico commericals) and can't get back to sleep!!!

Stop the madness!!!!!
