I understand Flourscent Light Bulbs contain mercury and are supposed to be recycled. I know there is a recycling center in Wiersdale but I don’t know if they are accepted there. Any suggestions?

Now someone will surely get internet smart and quote Mercury, which is RCRA covered, makes these HW. The amount is too low. That is not to say recycling is a bad idea. But don't confuse good ideas with HW. Last edited by Toymeister; 12-24-2019 at 10:56 PM. |

I was at Lowe’s a few days ago and saw their fluorescent-recycling container.

Home Depot on 441 & Rolling Acres would not take fluorescents but across the street at Batteries Plus & Bulbs they did. The clerk said he was supposed to charge a nominal disposal fee, but gave me a wink and took the bulb quietly with no charge.
