Default I am amazed

As I have read these threads over the years I am continually amazed. I am amazed that seniors with our life experience and life savings on the llne move here without understanding the restrictions and covenants, the bonds we pay, the amenity fees, the CDD form of government and asundrey other issues of living in our community. Please always do your homework before signing on ANY dotted line. Life in TV is great if you understand what you are getting. If you are disappointed, perhaps you did not do your homework.

I don't think you are alone on that. How many did the research before hand? How many had decent sales reps looking out for them to make not only a good sale but future referrals. Some people make hasty decisions. Personally we had a great experience with our sales rep. He took his time to understand what we wanted, what's available and every step thru the process. There are so many variables on why people do things

I am continually amazed nearly every day when reading TOTV how so many people have lived so long without a clue how the world works.

I didn't do any homework and don't understand or really care about the restrictions and covenants or how a CDD form of government works. However, I find life in TV great. I'm good with everything.

I was just saying to my hubby TODAY that I never see anyone on TOTV from when I first started reading/posting in 2010! Hello Challenger, Perrjojo and Don! Nice to see you are still around!

We went to see TV in July 2012 and bought our first patio villa five days later! Have never been happier! Love the covenants. Helps keep everything neat and tidy!

The people who have sold and moved on probably aren't posting on TOTV.
I do know a few people who found the small lots and lack of privacy an issue.
Not us though. We're on our second house in The Villages and have loved TV since 2007!

We love it here.

The Developer has done a great job of setting up this community to provide in incredible amount of activities, the people who live here all came from "somewhere else" and are friendly and want to be active and social.

We knew enough to feel confident buying. Everything we have learned since, has reinforced our opinion that this is the best possible place for us at this stage of life. It is an amazing place! and we LOVE it!

I found the developer to be ethical to the point where I felt things did not have to be investigated, to death.

I do suffer from "the paralysis of analysis" but I escaped that symptom, when I moved to TV.

I don't think we've ever lived in a neighborhood/borough/municipality that didn't have some sort of restrictions. At the lake condo, you couldn't park a boat or an RV in your driveway for more than three days. In the city, you couldn't park cars anywhere but the driveway. Everywhere: you had to keep your yard mowed and tidy, no refrigerators on the front porch, etc. You couldn't let the building itself become rundown.

I don't understand people complaining about the restrictions, or even not expecting there to be some. Maybe they are more stringent than in other places, but still, having restrictions is not unique to The Villages.
