Default Shutter recomendation(s)

Help! We are in the process of determining what shutter products are being installed in TV? Wood vs composite products? Inside opening vs outside install? Strong referral recommendations? Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

The only shutters I've seen are the fake vinyl ones that go with the siding.

Yes, we have fake ones too. I don't think you can really tell the difference. They are really easy to paint. Ours were faded after five years and hubby put some cardboard around them while they were still up and painted them the same dark brown. He used a can of flat spray paint. They look like new.

assuming you mean what's installed in a new house..cheap builder grade blinds.
I recommend Village Interiors to do blinds or shutters after the build...
I first had 48-hour blinds and shutters try to do the shutters and they could not fill my order in 3 months, which is longer than it took for the entire house to be built. Still trying to get a refund of my deposit.
Village Interiors has a storefront with sample products and staff who help you make selections based on their free consultation inside your home. You can get whatever you want, see the products in advance and get help with getting the price at the right spot for your budget.

A few years ago we ha Joys Blinds do our plantation shutter for our large living room widow. Beautiful job, quality product and easy maintenance. We love them!

They also did wood blinds in our other rooms and a faux wood weave for patio door and kitchen window.
