I have used forward mail for 5 years. Inconsistent to say the least. Seems the post office in Lady Lake won't answer their phone. It is a hit and miss with the forward mail, good luck

Yes. I got it online. My point was that Informed Delivery is good but there can be issues. BTW, I received that wayward 1099 yesterday. Just 23 days after the initial scan for Informed Delivery.

I have been using the $1.10 USPS temporary mail online redirect service for years which works most of the time.
You indicate the old address, new address, temporary or permanent change, who is remaining at old address and who is going to the new address or if all mail going to new address, the start date and the end date.
It should be submitted 10 days before the activation date.
Both the old address and new address will receive a paper notice of the action.
Just do the reverse when returning if necessary.
