Default Golf Course Sprinklers

The sprinkler have been coming on at 8 pm at Sarasota and Volusia last few evenings.
We had the last tee time and was only on the 7th hole with groups on 8 and 9 as well.
Had to cut round short as did the others ahead of this

Anybody know why they would be doing this ?

same thing on De La Vista. Had to quit on the 7th hole but it was getting dark anyway.

Most companies recommend watering in the AM before 10 AM and in the evenings between 4 and 6 PM.....neither which work for golfers. The 8 PM start is pushing it but I'm sure they had advice on that.

With the heat maybe they are watering more. Can’t you play through.

The sprinklers came on at 8 and you are on the course. You are playing after hours. Take what you get and like it.

Has been very dry lately and suspect that this was not a mistake. Would rather see them come on as opposed to letting the courses get MORE drier than they are now.

I guess they think the golf course are supposed to cater to them. If the want to play & it sounds like they’re the last ones to get a tee time, get an earlier tee time or get another tee time at another golf course!

The last tee time is 6:53. How is the OP playing “after hours”?
