I join others in hoping that your friend feels comforted and uplifted by knowing that many people are praying for him, not only on days like Thanksgiving, but every day.

Default Some very good news from John

Hello Gracie,

I was just typing an e-mail reply to Cyndy and I received a phone call from my doctor with the results of my latest CA19-9 blood test from last Thursday. The number came in at 160 and they were thrilled. It went from 1803 in Sept to 413 in late Nov to 160 now so it looks like the treatments are working. The magic number for CA19-9 is 0 - 37 and we are getting close. Although only an indicator the CA19-9 blood test is a very good indicator for the presents of pancreatic cancer.

Boy does that change the drab Ohio day for the better.

John

All those prayers seem to be working. Oh, and some medical miracles as well. A former pastor of ours used to say, "Work like everything depends on you, and pray like everything depends on God."

Default News from John yesterday.

Hello Gracie

I just thought I would pass along my results from my last doctors visit. To say the doctors are ecstatic is an understatement. The CA19-9 cancer antigen number is at 78 down from 160 last month. people without cancer have a number between 0 - 37. Let's hope I can hit that range next visit.

The chemo seems to be working but I still get tired very easily. Also the few days after the treatment I seem to be more worn out from back when I first started. I asked the doctor about that and he said that is normal.

So all in all things are looking good except for the stinking Ohio weather. I am sick of the snow and that coming from a former snow skier is saying something. It is supposed to get into the 50's tomorrow and rain but with all the coverage we need a week of 50 to 60 degree temps to melt the crud.

Keeping the faith and hoping for the best.

John

Keeping in the word and prayer, thank you for the wonderful news...blessings.

prov 4: 20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. 21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
