Default Front door entry

I was just reading the driveway post asking what to do with your driveway.

I have the same dilemma with my front entry.
It needs something and would like to ask if any of you did
painting/paving/etc. to make it nicer?
And if so what did you do?

Thanks!

We had ours painted with a design that mimics cobblestone with a border, same as what we did with the drive way. Both were also coated with 'shark grip' to avoid slipping when wet.

We bricked our walkway and front porch. Paradise Pavers did it. Well... a guy named Marco did it first, but we had to have that ripped out. Paradise Pavers did a beautiful job, and it looks great and won't fade and isn't slippery, yadda yadda. I would have liked to do the whole driveway but was scared off by both the cost and the people who complained about bricks breaking.

Is your walkway and front porch area attached to your driveway? How did you transition from the walkway to the driveway and make it look good?

I don't have a very good pic of it. We just sold the house, so I can't go outside and take one. They shaved the brick into slants to meet the driveway.

I can vouch for the bricks and the dog . . .

The bricks look very nice and the company did a great job, particularly where the bricks meet the driveway.

As for the dog -- well, he is the best -- absolutely the best!!!

When we moved into our house last year, the concrete surface in front of our door did not look so good. We called the warranty office, so they sent T&D by to look at it. They said they would put cool-deck on it, like they did to our lanai when our house was built.

Now it looks great.

We paved the driveway and walk to the front door. Also, off the walk to the door, we put a some patio in the front where all of our neighbors stop to chat while we are outside.
