Default Front of house fence.

Hi... Are there any regulations to putting up a fence in front of the house? If so, any restrictions on the height?

You will need to submit your plans to the architectural review board, but I doubt they would be approved. The only houses I know of that have fences in the front are patio villas.

There are some ranch homes built about 4-5 years ago, cottages I think, that have fences.

Pay careful attention to the statement about the right of way. In district 8 you cannot do anything in the 13 feet adjacent to the street. It's part of the right of way, but you are still responsible for the care and feeding of the lawn.

Does anyone know why the homes ( not villas ) are allowed to have fenced back yards on Nash Loop. They are the only homes in the villages like that. Was that a experiment by the developer to see the demand for it? Does anyone know??????????

Yes, the backyard fences on Nash Loop were a "one-shot deal". The houses are allowed to have fences because the Developer built them with fences included. Perhaps an experiment by the Developer to judge demand. Never repeated as far as I know. Otherwise the "no visible fences" applies. Invisible fencing is allowed for pets.

This is going to be a biggie for me.
I have never not had a fenced yard.
I hope I like the CYV or can find one of the pre owneds that have a fence.

From the southernmost intersection of Odell and Canal, go east on Odell to your first left which will be Nash Loop.

If you look at the satellite view of Nash Loop on Google Maps, you can easily spot which homes have the fences. They're primarily on the northernmost stretch of the Loop. And as previously mentioned, they are fenced back yards - no fence in the front so this doesn't address the question posted by the O.P.

Thanks. No problem finding Nash Loop.....love my google maps! What I was asking is if Tellme......was talking about something other than the Nash Loop homes. Thought there might be another area, maybe over in the historic section??
