What is recommended for sliding windows problems on lanai?

OP, you need to be more specific, what type of problem, water leakage, rattling, scratches, broken latches, etc.

We went with vinyl, much easier to move

Had an indoor swimming pool in NC, the windows were so heavy, they were a real burden to move--the pool area was heated/cooled and ventilated-so the admiral could swim year round

Check with custom windows they have a single pane, tinted slider.

We had our lanai enclosed on three sides. Four panels of sliders for each opening. The hanging and track design offer extreme ease of open/close. One can actually close or open and stack the sliders with one finger.

Ours are vinyl with metal frames, and I would use a
silicone spray in the tracks,
but wipe the track out well before spraying the lube in.

I agree with the reply to clean tracks, and use a silicone spray. Also, if these are designed like sliding screens, there may be an adjustment at the bottom of the sliders. This adjusts the height of the wheel at the bottom of the slider, if this loosened, the wheel may no longer be in contact with the bottom rail, making to very difficult to slide these.

Wax spray or wax gel lubricant. You can use the wax based product that they use for pulling wires search for "3M WLX-QT" it is sold on Amazon. Or soft gel zipper lube, "Besop" brand

Yes, bottom channel should be cleaned first and I've had good luck with "Door Ease" on my sliders. Works wonders. Looks like a big crayon and goes on with a quick wipe or two.

Get it at any hardware store, Home Depot, online.
