We bought our kitchen table from them and were satisfied. They sell what most people buy mid-line furniture. It is not high end or low end stuff.

I've also bought some stuff in the Villages. Church flea markets got some great stuff shockingly cheap. In another post, I asked if they wanted to get it done quickly of make it into a hobby.

When we furnished our house we bought most of it from City Furniture. We’ve had no trouble with quality. We bought our couch and love seat from Family Furniture and another piece from Lay-Z-Boy.

We looked at several other places including Babettes(too expensive) and the resale stores (not the style we were looking for).

I would highly recommend shopping around before you buy.

Reminder, the 90's was 30 years ago. Semi related. I recall reading in some book why all antique furniture is high quality. The reply was interesting. There was cheap stuff in the past as well.over time it fell apart or was thrown away.

I would call it very low end stuff ($hitty furniture). We bought a bed frame from them that collapsed while we were sleeping in it the very first night we used it. It was installed by their supposedly professionals who delivered it about 5 hours after the scheduled delivery window.

Default do it on the phone

just call Babbette's tell them your model and they will fill it up...you'll fit in with EVERYONE in the Villages! We brought most of our stuff with us...when neighbors found out...we were shunned until we called Babbette's. Now we are in with the "in-crowd"

Haverty’s great selection and support. I liked them in VA and here! Ask for David!

Shunned because of furniture?

Be sure to confirm in writing that they will hold the furniture until you settle on the home and then deliver within x days.

If you have the opportunity to schedule a trip to Hickory/ and or High Point North Carolina, you might be able to get some really nice furniture at really great prices. Those areas have a reputation as Furniture Capitals and offer good variety and prices.

Try Bargain and Treasures on 466 in Oxford. Some Pices look like they came from model homes, lots of snow bird stuff, good customer service.

They send a truck here a couple times a week as I understand it. They are located in at least Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and all around the Denver area.
Welllll? What's the name of the place? Or better yet, a linky please.
