...up the temporary ramp just south of 466 by Morse, while the wife was driving. I know the cart needs new batteries, but I've never had to push it before. I came to TV for a rest, but I'm working harder than ever :-)
that new ramp is unnecessarily steep, and the temporary cart path very narrow, especially on the corner - you would think TV had enough experience of constructing cart paths not to make them inconvenient and dangerous anyway, recommendations please for a provider of new batteries? the usual suspects, or is there anyone new in town? Thank you |

Spano (who I have used) or The Battery Boys (who I hear are very good) are the two choices I can offer you.

Think I saw you doing that this morning as I was driving on Morse....it's the pits to have that happen! It was our experience on the cart bridge (once) over 441. Hope you got things started again and that you were able to be on your way!!

If the forum or Admin is going to recommend (endorse) a golf cart retailer and service shop, it might be a step in the right direction to require that that vendor pledge to only sell or modify carts (for villages use) that are in compliance with Florida law relative to speed. TOTV can lead the way toward protecting our fellow villagers' health and welfare. Let us use our leverage for the greater good.

Being new to TV i need to buy a new cart and prefer Electric (we are in one of the new sections). My question on speed would be: Doesn't it need to be capable of going above FL law so that it can do max speed up an incline? Cars are made capable of going over 70mph which is max, i think, in FL. But it is up to the operator to maintain a legal speed. Just sayin.

Being new to TV (welcome), you will soon learn that there are many carts capable of going over the speed limit illegally and many run flat out all the time. Be careful. |

What was this thread about? Oh yeah, buying batteries..... I see four recommendations in the thread. I have personally used the folks recommended by zcaveman without issue, although Ken Spano let me down at a neighbors recently which was a bit embarrassing. Recently my Dad used Battery Boys without issue.
I will likely be getting new batteries in the fall, I will call all four of these. Price will matter. I do not need an expert to install batteries. Just my opinion. |

I did not say I was going 20MPH. I said there was no slowing down.
