Default Lack of Air Conditioning in Spanish Springs Lanes

This has been going on for weeks now. The air conditioning isnt working.
Its hotter than heck in there - even worse when you are exercising.
Management claims the reason is lack of a crane to lift the a/c units onto the roof. There are plenty of cranes lifting trusses onto new homes south of 44. It seems clear where the Villages
priorities lie.

Even if it was as simple as just driving the cranes 20 miles up the road, why would the contractor want to put himself behind schedule to do that?

Both bowling alleys in The Villages are now owned by Bowlero, a large nationwide company with over 300 centers, nothing to do with The Villages ownership or management

Interesting - when I inquired, I was told that the Villages Properties was the landlord and they were responsible for the maintenance of their building. The Management of the bowling alleys was taken over by Bowlero, not the actual real estate.

That too is interesting. Among serious league bowlers, Bowlero nationwide has a pretty poor reputation, recreational bowlers may have a different opinion, they are generally considered Bowlero’s focus, right or wrong. . In Spanish Springs & Fiesta, Bowlero has put in a lot of money into improvements, new floors, lanes etc, but the building infrastructure, air conditioning etc may or maybe not up to Bowlero. I don’t know about that

I only know what i was told lol. I was hoping for a new golf cart accessible lane down in the south. Bowlero is the only game in town if you want to travel by cart.

Default Building Upkeep

On most commercial leases the tenant pays for everything, insurance, rent, taxes and building maintenance. That’s the way my commercial lease is.

The owner of the building would not bring in a crane for the contractor to use. The contractor would bring the crane in. The cranes that you see building houses were brought in by those contractors, and none of them are going to send one up to the bowling alley.

Not a matter of priorities.

I'm a bit confused with this thread.

I bowl at Spanish Springs Lanes three times a week, during the summer, and I've never seen a time when there was no, or little air conditioning. Most of the time it's too cold there. Some of the people I bowl with bring coats because it's so cold.

On the other topic that was spawned here. I like the changes Bowlero has made. Sure the prices have risen a little bit. However, have you seen the inflation taking place everywhere?

And Bowlero does make bowling a bit less expensive by offering free games associated with joining a league.

Finally, the staff at Spanish Springs Lanes is always courteous and attentive.

So I'm a bit unclear as to why there is complaining happening.

Contact Bowlero and complain to them. They are the ones to make any fixes happen.

I work in a retail store in The Villages and the store owner is responsible for the maintenance and replacement of the units. We had to replace our air conditioning system a couple of years ago.
