Any suggestions for a car wash/detail shop that does quality hand waxing and auto detail? I don’t want an electric buffer used. Prefer hand waxing. Thanks.

Just a suggestion, look into the new ceramic coatings. They reportedly last for years and they do make your vehicle shinny. They are not cheap though. I just did it on one of my motorcycles and it does look nice.

Google Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax. Just did my car in the time it took to wash it. Good vids on YouTube on what to do.

Another vote for Ceramic .
I have had my car done twice professionally, and coating lasts for 3 years. I live in a rural area, muddy roads etc. Wash crap off, and good to go again. Can't beat the coating, IMO. |

Had it done locally or DIY?

Sorry. I am located in UK. A sometimes snowbird in The Villages.
Just recommending Ceramic as best option in my opinion. I got it done professionally, as DIY is work, and the older I get, the lazier I get. |

I did mine myself, it's not difficult, just time consuming and you need a buffer etc. It's actually kind of fun to do. But to do it right it will take a full day or two. Putting it on takes 30 minutes, the prep takes two days.
