Default Garage Temp during summer?

New to TV. Looking to run a garage freezer in our garage. The garage doors face the sun all day. Just how hot do garages get around here? As garage freezers will shut down if the temp reaches 110 degrees. Thanks

We installed a "mini-split" to air-condition our garage. It was worth the expense. We have a cool car to enter in summer and the space is always comfortable. Our washer and dryer is in the garage so it was important for us. M&S did the HVAC installation and we were pleased.

Hot, 89 or higher in midsummer. At ceiling low 90’s. If you can get it degree or two below outside temps you’ve done something..

I left my sunglasses in our golf cart in the garage all summer. When I returned and put them on they literally began to disintegrate on my face. Don’t leave anything in the garage during the summer if you value it and have another option. Lesson learned.

Mine is usually 90-95 on the really hot days, and my garage door is insulated.

I had my garage totally insulated, including the door, and it never gets above 83 in the summer.

The temperature in my garage never exceeds the outside air temperature, and it is usually lower. I have no garage insulation.

Regarding the freezer, it will operate fine in the garage. The main concern is to have some type of alarm to alert you if the freezer circuit has tripped.

The old freezer (and most furniture)didn’t make the trip to Florida. We purchased a bit larger refrigerator with a bigger freezer. More than enough space and we prefer “fresh” to frozen anyway. Two supermarkets just a short golf cart ride. But to each their own.
