Default Road Stains

Anyone know what happened at Nash Loop and Dunbar Ave? Do I want to know?

There are very awful looking stains on the road at that intersection. I hope there are plans to clean it up, because it truly look bad.

They may have been there for a while, as we haven’t been in the area for probably a year or more.

Most stains on asphalt roads will eventually go away with rain and traffic. A contractor left heavy oil stains on our street from a leaking truck about a year ago and they are completely gone.

This is a 4-6’ patch in the middle of the road with several smaller areas and splatter all around, so it’s definitely not an auto leak. If it was just the one main spot, I’d guess that a reddish-brown paint can was dropped from the roof of a truck.

If it looks like something that could have fallen off a truck, weather will take care of it, eventually. If it looks like dirt, it could be an indication of improper drainage, which could affect road life (which is what is happening in four villa communities at the moment).
