Default Police in Neighborhood-Meth Lab bust

Our dog has congestive heart failure so I need to take her out in the middle of the night to relieve herself due to medication she is on. At 1:30 am this morning three police officers, one with a blood hound and one with a german
shepard came walking down Livingston Loop which is located in The Village of Lynnhaven. It scared the living out of me because I thought perhaps they were looking for a criminal so I quickly took my dog inside and locked my doors. In speaking with neighbors today I was told the police were on our street busting a meth lab!!!!

This is not a rumor as the neighbor spoke with a police officer that was
still at the house at 7:30 am along with firemen. My husband did see the
fire truck when he went out to retrieve our newspaper this morning at
6:00 am. The officer told the neighbor the woman renting the house told
them a couple of twenty year olds helped her one day to change a flat tire
and she ended up letting them live in the house. I do not know how the
police came to be at this house either. Of course the woman's story sounds
suspect but hopefully there will be something in the Daily Sun or Orlando
newspaper.

There are people who do not live in TV that buy homes here to rent. Because of this and other reasons is why rentals aways concerned me. This situation supports that concern as have the number of sexual offenders found renting here. I understand the other side of the story but.........

Let's see, they help fix a flat, then she allows them to live there. I also noticed that the moon is square!

I want to thank you for sharing this story. A lot of people have a false sense of security here in The Villages.

The Neighborhood Watch guys can drive around but they are not authorized to report anything except to their supervisor.

I know that for a fact because my hubby used to be NW for over one year about 4 years ago. He was told that he MUST put at least 50 miles on the truck within his 6 hr shift or be in TROUBLE!! So he used to just drive around, wasting time, trying to put miles on the truck and waste gas.

Many times, he reported suspicious vehicles but was told that wasn't his job, even though he copied down the license and turned it in.

So, I am not surprised that The Villages now has Meth Labs, etc. here. If you buy a property, you can rent to anyone, age unimportant, or background check I GUESS!

SCARY STUFF!!

I think the owner of the property should have done a little better background check of tenants.

Many thanks to you and to Happy Villager I for sharing this news......

I, for one, would rather know the truth than have my head in the sand.....happy positive news is great and uplifting........however, the real news should also be told.

Has anyone read the Orlando Sentinel or other major newspaper ( or otherwise found out HOW this meth lab was first discovered????? )

It is a health hazard for future renters or residents............or home owners.

Isn’t Oxford also near The Villages, Florida????? Here’s another meth lab, too close for comfort.

I'm sure the news will come out in the Sun. This is too serious to sweep under the rug. It just happened early this AM. Doubt the resident of the home is still in there. It can be dangerous. Very creepy.....

Default meth lab

I recognize the picture of the male in this meth lab story. He was a waiter at the Village Dairy Restaurant when it was located in a plaza near Spanish Springs. The restaurant has since closed.

Interesting ... when I was having my hair cut last Tuesday in Wildwood, the girls in the shop were all talking about 25 people who were involved in a Meth bust. Maybe they were a part of that circle.
