Can anyone recommend a real estate appraiser to give an accurate picture of what we can sell our house for? I've been told not to use an agent who will make it look great and we should let them sell our house. Someone who is devoid of any interest in sales. I understand they come at a price. Thank You

Why not get 3 agents to do a market analysis and choose from them. No charge. In my opinion, paying an appraiser would be a waste of money. Mostly, they work for banks to approve a mortgage, not to sell the house.
