If that was you in the Boston baseball cap, OP, then I told you then, that the State has no say-so in what does or does not happen to our gate. The road it leads to isn't a state road, the gate isn't a state-regulated gate. It leads to the back-road that starts at the alternative-medicine building at the gate, to the Stonecrest Gate past Walmart and the Dollar Store and all that.

Part of it is only accessible via golf cart - including the gate itself, and the path from Aldi's to Walmart (which has a side-path to a Stonecrest golf-cart gate).

I don't know why anyone would actually stand there beside his golf cart asking everyone if they'd heard about this and if it was true, when a simple phone call to the Villages Community Watch (which oversees the gate) would have given them the answer.

It must have broken after you passed thru. I posted it three days ago and I stand by it. Look, One, Two, Three Days.

This is going to be a Bonanza for all the businesses that we have always been able to reach and now BJ's.....Life is Great. I'll never leave the Hysterical Section, way too easy to get to everything. Wawa & BJ's with Lowes and Cracker Barrel. I have found Heaven On Earth! :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I'm inclined to take your post at face value. This is a Forum of give and take. You did give a place to confirm the good news but certain posters in my humble opinion are good for just their word. You happen to be one of them.

Thanks for what I already expected to hear. ANOTHER truck load of BOLOGNA! Not Oscar Myer or Thuman's cause it's too expensive.

You made my day, now I can sleep! :boom:

I think it's crazy that they can legally cross from Spruce Creek Stonecrest which goes somehow over to the Sam's St. Johns Plaza and no where else and we can't cross to get to Sam's or jump the road at each circle K corner which would make a HUGE difference in time and access and I see it as safer than a bycicle crossing and much safer than walking across the street.

Maybe you can stay in The Vilages while the rest of us function. The city of Myrtle Beach, SC drive their golf carts all over the roads and have no village. I think we should be able to CROSS over streets with red lights. Much safer than walking and bycicles are allowed. I think carts make way more sense next to those two as far as safety goes.

The golf cart spaces or for Summerfield residence

Historic side gate to Lowe's.

I think the Villages has put a plant at the gate just to get a controversy going, so they can shut it down. The gate was put there to keep non Villagers from entering The Villages. So people just shut to hell up about it, and maybe it will go away.

3 Days.

It's been working every day since I posted. I went to get a BJ's membership one day, did my usual groceries the next day, hubby made pancakes so we needed milk the day after, and I picked up a sandwich from Tropical Smoothie and got gas (at BJ's, huzzah) the next day.

I did notice that a couple of people had trouble with their cards though. I know that happens on occasion but this seems to have been more than the usual.
