Default Driveway Painting/Pavers Contractor

We are thinking about getting our driveway either painted or paved, and also doing some landscaping in the front by using stone and some flower beds. A contractor stopped at our door the other day, who has some good ideas but are leary since we know the general rule of not hiring anyone that knocks on your door.
So, has anybody used Divine Design for either driveway work or landscaping. The guys name is Christopher Croote, I believe.
Any info is appreciated.

I am sure you know pavers are significantly more expensive....usually about 4 times the price of painting per square foot.

Both require annual maintenance of cleaning and sealing for longer, new looking and extended life.

Pavers are subject to cracking. Many of our neighbors have pavers and replace some of the bricks periodically.

It comes down to personal choice.

These pavers R less than $2 a sq ft, not sure what the labor cost is but I guess 2 men in day can do it.

yes, you use a adhesive bond

see [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKsEA188e2w"]here[/ame]

if I guess a driveway is 15 x 30 or about 450' about $1,000 in materiel.

If your upto it it can be a DIY or hire few guys for a day.

I heard upwards of $5,000 for driveways with a cement overlay, IMO this looks more natural

Unless someone on this forum has had experience with this company, I would suggest you check with Crimes against Seniors before you hire them. There have been more complaints and scams posted on TOTV about paver contractors. Also, ask them for references.

Jimbo,, painting is still cheaper than pavers no matter how you look at it.

Hands down, but if U want the look pavers are an alternative.

In fact, rather than paint - staining can look great last longer.

Thumbs up third choice

Seven of us in Eldridge Loop negotiated with Stone Creations of Ocala. All of us are extremely happy with the final product. We are just off St Charles. Turn on Pennecamp and we are the first left. The surface is a textured cement with polymer added, then hand carved into whatever pattern you might want. It is then painted to colors that coordinate with your house and covered with a sealer. We think it is much nicer than paint and lacks the cost and drawbacks of pavers. We got the price down to $3.15 by negotiating together so the company could save money. Before we purchased we found a few negative comments about the company, but they have done hundreds of drives with only a few complaints. I am very happy with their work and even more excited about the look of my drive. Address is 1986 and 1990 Eldridge Loop and several others around the loop. Come look! Search the name to get more info.

This may be of interest to you. If it is the same person who knocked on your door I'd look elsewhere. But than again I don't do business with people who solicit business in this manner anyway.
