Default Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive

I wanted to send a thank you to the person that posted about the Apopka Wildlife drive.
My husband and I are pretty new here and are looking for things to do and to do when visitors come.....it was so awesome!!! We saw 20 alligators up close and personal, all sorts of birds, and some fish just below the surface of waterways. Don't know what kind of fish and am curious, they were about 1 to 2 feet long. Anyway, it was an awesome adventure !

Wow! We have been there a few times but never saw a gator strolling across the road. Very cool!

We also saw this on Talk of the Villages and visited Friday. We throughly enjoyed the approximately two hour slow one way drive with an abundance of nature all around. This is the perfect time to go as the alligators are very active. The Yalaha Bakery is a good place to stop for lunch on the way back. Thank you Talk of the Villages!
