Default Getting rid of a garage full of ???????

If my husband was still alive, he would be 92. Other than a few items that family took North, the garage contains almost EVERY he ever bought-we moved everything from Missouri. Everything was worth keeping.
Lots of tools. I have tried sorting things out, but have given up.

I don't want to give them to a dealer as junk, but would prefer to sell the whole lot or have someone hold a garage sale for me.

Does anyone know of a business that could help, or have any suggestions how to go about this?

Thanks! I have been thinking about this for almost 6 years-time to act!

Look for someone that does estate sales. Check your local newspaper for adds.

I think Blessed and Grateful is a donation site, you donate, and they sell. Most of the consignment shops are furniture, I agree with above, look in the paper for estate sales.

Tools generally go quite well at garage sales. So, if you can get with a neighbor and "share" a garage sale, with you selling off your tools, that would probably be worth doing. Check out a few of the areas consignment shops to see it they handle the sort of things you have. I would do this before looking into an "estate sale agent."

Perhaps you could find someone who would be knowledgeable about the tools' worth and could help you price them. Then you could hold your own garage sale. It probably would be good to advertise outside of TV, too, to draw in a younger crowd who may not have all the tools they need.

I empathize with you on this. When our older son moved ahead of his wife to start a new job, I helped her tackle his workbench and tools. It was brutal! We made some command decisions and hoped he wouldn't notice what was missing.

They are an estate sale company. You may be thinking of Bargains and Blessings, that is a resale shop in Wildwood, that takes donations...not consignments.
