There is no logic. Just anger needing to lash out. Hence the repeated posts lashing out.

I have to admit I was a bit confused as to why, as an "Enhanced" member I got a discount for this service, but when I researched it, and I'm not sure I got a definitive answer, from what I can gather, clubs and associations pay the Florida Golf Association a fee, and then can charge their members whatever they want.
If I'm correct, the association or club sets the price for the GHIN membership, but any golfer has the option of going directly to the FGA and paying them. However, it's $35 if you get it directly from FGA.

If I understand the system correctly, the entity that owns the Championship courses, and does the money collecting, is giving their "members" a $5 break, as a perk for paying the Enhanced fee.
The OP's complaint makes no more sense than if he were complaining about paying a higher greens fee than the Enhanced Member, since as a non-enhanced member, he is getting the same product, but at a higher price.

I don’t know the answer to the question. But I would, in the circumstances stated, simply ask at the local pro shop for an explanation, rather than make an assumption, that may or may not be correct.

I have sympathy with the Op's dilemma.
Why should he have to pay, when those who pay $$$$ per year membership get it for free.
Similarly, I am charged by Amazon for delivery, whilst those who pay for Amazon Prime get it for nothing, and next day!
Just not fair at all.

USGA membership to establish a handicap is $50 when not associated with a golf club. The Villages discounts the resident early renewal rate to $25, $20 early renewal for Enhanced membership. Starting Jan 1st, the renewal rate goes up for both. With the enormous number of golfers in TV, the early renewal program is needed or the golf shops will be more crowded with whining residents who forgot to renew before their membership expired. As it is there will be 1000s saying no one "told me my membership expires and why can't I get the cheaper cost?"

Wrong. Not getting the same product. ie., no tee time priority etc.

Not the same product! How can you possibly think that?

Complete sentences would make your responses decipherable.

I am getting 18 holes of golf on the same course that you are getting 18 holes of golf. That's the same product.

I am also getting the same product but at a reduced rate because I forked over several hundred dollars, all at once, at a prior date, in order to get a favorable rate later.

Likewise with the GHIN membership. It's the same product you are getting, however, because I forked over the money earlier, I am getting a very small discount when I purchase the same product that you are purchasing.

Would you be less angry if a person was given a coupon for a $5 GHIN discount upon paying for an enhanced membership? How would that be different?

When I find myself missing the same thing, I use the "search' feature.

It's like watching Seinfeld reruns on YouTube.
