Default Newer Villages

Do the newer villages have more designer models and fewer villas and ranches/cottages? It seems like villages north of 466A have some of all types of models. For instance, the Village of Gilchrist doesn't have any patio villas or cottage/ranch neighborhoods. It seems to have only designer homes with two courtyard villas. Is that true of all newer villages?

I completely agree with your observation. It appears to me that cottage homes and patio villas are no longer being built. TV seems to be emphasizing the construction of designer homes and courtyard villas.

I'm sure it is because for the land available it is more profitable to build a more expensive designer home than a cottage or patio villas. Whatever they build it will sell at this time.

No cottage homes in Pinellas, two CYV neighborhoods and one patio villa neighborhood. Was told by realtor that they had one more patio villa neighborhood to build, then no more. It's too bad as some seasonal residents will not be able to afford TV anymore if they want new, but should bode well for resales.

There are some cottage homes being built and some for sale in Charlotte, and a bunch just south of Hillsbourough Trail.

I based my comment on the new homes shown on thevillages.com This morning there are 5 cottages (all in Charlotte) and 304 designers. Also 1 patio villa (in Hillsbourough) and 80 courtyard villas. So the bunch south of Hillsbourough are under construction?

They seem to be doing things in batches.Build a load of CYVs, then a load of designers, then some cottages. Looking at a particular area may or may not give insight into the bigger picture.
