Default Whoa! surge protectors ELECTRICAL

The three surge protectors installed in the pre-owned home we purchased made for good selling points.

We now have it-on good authority- that any one of them can take out the entire panel as they are all installed inside the circuit breaker panel.

The electrician at our home the other day (for another project) suggested a protector outside the panel box.

Any thoughts...thanks!

Welcome to TOTV!

I am certainly no electrician BUT mine was installed on the OUTSIDE of the panel.

The surge protectors are to be mounted outside the CBB. You should be able to disconnect them and reinstall properly.
