Not yet but if you stay on the East side trail of BuennaVista thet will take you all the way down to the square, As for the tunnels going under BV they take you to the Villages on the West side of BV.

We own an EZGO electric cart with 4/12 volt batteries. We live in Pennecamp and routinely go to Spanish Springs ow Walmart on 466 and back with no issues with range. Round trip to either locations is approx. 15-18 miles and the battery meter shows about half energy used. From Pennecamp, Brownwood is closer than SS so we should have absolutely no range issues going to Brownwood.

Shimpy your right, I recently got a bicycle GPS and stuck it in the golf cart. I went from my village of Sanibel, south of 466a, to Lake Sumter Landing and it was 5.1 miles and 18 minutes. You must have liked Math.

For anyone wanting to see how far it is to anywhere in The Villages or wherever. This interactive map is the best I've seen. You can track your trip in TV using the multi-modal paths. It even takes you the actual path around the gate crossings & tunnels.

The rule of thumb is 8 - 6 volts is the best. More batteries means more stamina. Not sure why. I have 7 6 volt batteries for a total of 42 volts and they can last longer than my butt cheeks can last. I can go approx 50 miles on a charge before I get to the 80 % gone area. I have been told not to go below that 80% gone charge as it is hard on the batteries.

8x6 will have more amps each about 225 amps but you are carrying more weight maybe 150lbs, the weight can also cut your range. That setup has reported about 10 extra miles in range, most carts need to modified to fit them. 4x12 is saving weight the amps are about 90. Cart makers tried that setup but went back to 6x8. Now gel are better but perhaps double in price. LIPO batteries are far superior but now the cost is too high about $2,000 In the future that price will come down??? The majority of carts are using 6x8v .
