There are too many people driving around who have no clue or they think they know. Just saying…
Would the test be in Braille as well?
It would help a lot of Villagers.

Default New 2024 golf cart law

As of Jan 1, 2024. Must be 14 years old to operate golf cart, no license required. If you let grand kid under 14 operate your cart you’re risking an uninsured accident.

Is this a new law.
You think so,so who’s going to enforce that?

Always interesting to cross threads and expose some of these 'live free or die' villagers....that want little government intrusion in their lives, yet want enforcement of the little things...that are more of an anomaly than the norm. Believe me, if the county was rolling on the streets and MMP of TV...it would be a totally different vibe and culture within its borders.

Tort reform says you will not be able to do anything as evil as you desire.

You can keep shouting "get off my lawn" though. No angy old person reforms yet.

Actually, when the 12-year-old hit someone, not only will Grandma be sued, but he will be issued a Florida drivers license, which will then be suspended. When he turns 16 or 17 in his home state and tries to get a drivers license, he will not be able to until he is 21 years old.

Humm where did you get your information?
Read the law! “Beginning October 1, 2023, a person operating a golf cart on public roads or streets who is under 18 years of age must possess a valid learner’s driver license or valid driver license, and a person who is 18 years of age or older must possess a valid form of government-issued photographic identification.”
No mention of private property.

Default Rental golf cart

Don't forget that many of the cart rental companies and home owners (who rent their cart) establish their own policies that may be MORE stringent than any law in place.
Verify the owner has a policy to cover renters. (Get in writing from golf cart insurance agent) The owner and renter are liable just like you are when driving an auto.
