Default Furniture stores in Ocala

We had our design meeting today and pick out the granite slab tomorrow. Our designer said a lot of people buy there furniture in Ocala where there are a lot of stores with good prices. Has anyone bought furniture there and if so do you have any places that you can recommend? Any help would be appreciated.

Southern Lifestyles in Lake Sumter or Babettes in Leesburg can probably get you anything you want. I bought from both stores and they are equally good. If you order from Souther Lifestyles and don't have a sofa to sit on in while you are waiting for your order to come in they will give you a loaner. Don't know if Babettes does this 'cause didn't need it. Likes the fact that Babettes is a family owned business - not a chain.

Ocala has Blockers, Kane's & Rooms to Go. We bought most of our furniture in these three stores. Bought other pieces at Family Furniture and Showcase Direct but visited Whites, Kent's, Babette's & Southern Lifestyles.

Don't forget or dismiss resale shops. Bargains and Treasures yielded many bargains and treasures for our first house here. I had never looked at a resale shop before but they only take NICE stuff that is NOT worn. I found a really RED lamp that I painted white and it fit in nicely with the beachy, cottagy feel I was trying to do.

We found a set we really liked in Cincinnati and went to Southern Lifestyles and they ordered it for us at a lower price with free delivery. Don't overlook places like TJMaxx, they have some interesting tables and even chairs and some great lamps and I found some interesting accessories at Dockside in Leesburg.

Happy Hunting!!

I bought a lot of pieces including a dining room set from Babcock's in Fruitland Park. They were very accommodating and the price was right. They even delivered some additional pieces that I was unsure of to see if I liked them and I did but if I didn't they would take them right back. I also ordered mattresses and a Queen sized bed and headboard. Their deliveries were on time. I very much like the service in the store.

Thanks for this! We went into the Southern Lifestyle and partner in Spanish Springs and were very disappointed in the lack ok knowledge of who we spoke with! They also said there was a 10 week wait on what we had seen in a designer model. Looked it up on the Internet and all,but one piece, is available for free delivery in 3-4 days.... I check put Ocala.

Woodyou in Ocala has great wood pieces such as tables, entertainment centers, etc. You pick the finish you want.
