I have had 3 series of injections of Sinvisc in my knees; not shoulders. The first two lasted 2 yrs apart. The third lasted about one year. Then my Dr. then switched me to Othrovisc. He said it was a better product.
The injection was done about 6 weeks ago and Orthovisc is working great so far!
ps. Get injected laying down. Less fatty tissue to penetrate!

I have had in my shoulders about 5 times each one. 1st time the pain was excrutiating, but after that time nerver felt it again!! Each jab lasted from 18 months to 3 years.
My doc was Prof Taylor in London.

I asked my orthopedist about it and was told synvisc is not approved for anything but knees in the U.S.

I would really like to find a doctor here (Florida) who is using it in shoulders.

I also had it done in my left knee a series of three shots one per week for three weeks, lasted about 18 months, since then I have had cortizone shots about one year apart.
