AGREED....And, note that many of the tunnels, especially North of Rt 466 have very restricted turning lanes into and out of the tunnels. Many people with lifted and 4-seat carts have to back and fill to get through (Yes, I've seen this maneuver many times).

Make sure that all the members or your family are happy with a lifted cart. For short people or anyone with stiff knees, they are a pain in the a--- to get in and out . I'm in relatively good physical condition, although I am on the short side. I stub my toe getting into a lifted cart and feel as if I'm going to fall getting out of one. I'm not alone in my opinion. There are two lifted carts in the large golf group in which I play. The players, other than the owners of the carts, make a concerted effort to not ride in the lifted carts as it is tiring climbing into and stepping out of them the 90+ times during an 18 hole round.

Finally,, golf carts are not the most stable of vehicles. Their short wheelbase, width, and high center of gravity make them prone to turning over when a sharp turn is made at speed or on a hillside. In my short time in The Villages, I have seen three carts that have overturned. Two were on cart paths and one on a golf course. Increasing the height of the center of gravity by lifting your cart, will make you a prime target for a lawsuit by a passenger or bystander should your cart overturn and cause injury.

I have to go through the tunnels north of 466 dead center on my 4 seater Yamaha cart. South of 466 no problem

What is the advantage of having a lifted cart. This is a serious question.

When we bought our Club Car back in 2015 I told the salesman at Villages Golf Carts I wanted 10 inch tires instead of the 8” the cart came with. He said it wouldn’t be a problem and he would have them installed when they prepared the cart. When driving the new cart home the tires would rub in the wheel wells whenever I took a turn or hit a bump. I had to put in a modest lift kit to give the tires ample clearance from the wheel wells. The lift kit does make the cart look kind of cool and unique and my wife (it’s her cart) gets lots of compliments and loves the way her cart looks. I’m not a fan of the lift, it stiffens the ride and doesn’t take bumps as well.

Why not have hydraulics installed to rise the cart when on the golf course and lower it when driving around?
