I agree. Although I do wish TV would enforce its own rules and stop pushing it off on others. Give it to the CW people.

I'm averaging 3 cart sales a week...from my prime yard location.

Quite frankly though, I think it is the helium balloons, pink flamingos and half dozen cacti next to them...that are mostly responsible for the quick sales.

Flamingos make people think you moved here from Southern Florida

It just isn't "in".

Gosh sakes, Indy Jim.

We moved here because we like deed restrictions. Keeps ever-one in line.

No one here has to be talked into The Villages. I bet you'd like top of the world.

While I don't agree with MOST of the picyune stuff we all b1tch about we all did sign the same (or similar) DEED RESTRICTION agreement that we are supposed to abide by as happens in most communities like this. They are in place for a reason.

You have the opportunity to decide but DO NOT decide based on the postings on ANY TYPE FORUM ANYWHERE. They generally do not reflect the views of the vast majority of residents just a small bunch of grumpy opinionated old(ish) folks like myself. I've been here a year and despite this forum I love it, warts and all. There are some things I don't like (6' flamingos [emoji2]) but live with it.

I have to agree with bill.
You are looking from afar and obviously have no idea what goes on here in TV.

The majority of the villages residents have enough to do on the average day to stay busy. Yes. There are kooks every where. Don't decide what you read on TOTV and take it as gospel and be a determining factor on deciding to move here.

Your first post! "I was thinking of moving down there Here is another good reason not to." Looks like you had already made up your mind not to move here, so why the post?

I have no idea where all the golf carts and other goings on are, but my area of TV is like living in the Witness Protection Program ..................... Oh, come to think of it, we did have a loud couple here for a while, but the divorce put a stop to that.

While to some this may sound petty, I agree completely with you. We moved here in large part as a result of the extensive efforts taken but both the developers and the vast majority of home owners to keep The Villages as an oasis. There were rules in places when we bought and we will adhere to them.
