Default Free Golf on Christmas Day

Has anyone heard if they are going to have free golf on the Championship Courses on Christmas day as they did last year?

Haven't heard for sure but it has become a TV tradition and has been for as long as I can remember. There should be an up coming announcement in the Daily Sun.

And did you notice that it only rains on Championship Golf Courses? Last year the sun was out and it was 90 at my house, but when I got to the course it was 60 and raining. Kidding aside, it does seem to rain on Christmas, what bad luck - but it's usually a mob scene anyway.

Default Are you actually able to get on?

If.. its free and If.. the suns shines....Then I might give it a go Christmas morning. I just wonder If you have to line up at 4 AM or what? Just wondering. I would think it would be very busy because we golf junkies just don't know when to quit.

Regarding your "ifs"
Last year, in good weather, we (4) went to Mallory's Amelia course for 9 holes about 9am.
Waited about 40 minutes.
Heard others from Havana were looking at 90 minutes.
Palmer courses probably have longest wait.
Good Luck, weather permitting, we're going to try again!

Actually we were at Havana at about 800. Waited 20 +/- minutes. But there was quite a line behind us. We plan to go again this year, may get there a little earlier but not 400.

Default Free Golf on Christmas day

There was an article in todays paper that says there will be free golf on Christmas day on all the Championship courses. It tells what starter shack to go to on each course. First Come First serve.
