Wanted to share this because it was rather humorous. Riding out the the square on Canal St. today we saw a woman, in her SUV, parking it on the left-side of the street facing the wrong way. Like she thought that Canal St. was a "one-way" This was in front of the Hallmark Store (I think). Could NOT believe it!! Too funny! The comment that came to mind that we see here on TOTV so often was "you can't fix stupid!"

Maybe she was British and forgot about which side of the road we drive on here.

a friend of ours from England parked on the wrong side of the street in Kissimmee and got a ticket. He didn't know the law in the U.S. is that you have to park in the direction of traffic. In England they can park either way, it's very confusing to see the cars parked all different directions.

My older brother was stationed in England for several years and when he came home, I had to remind him to drive on the right side of the road.

We were coming home from dinner last night at about 7:30pm We were driving on Avenida Central in the left lane when we saw headlights coming right at us. Luckily the woman was driving slowly. We pulled into the right lane. She pulled up beside us and stopped. She had no idea that she was going the wrong way. There was only one other car on the road. He had stopped about 20 feet behind us, giving her room to make a U-turn.The woman said it was her first time visiting The Villages. YIKES.

I made that very same comment! I wonder if someone bothered to let her know....or if she got a ticket. It looked REALLY strange. That said though, wouldn't you have thought she'd have made an observation that other vehicles weren't parked this way??

OH. What a lot of fun we have ahead of us.

PLEASE be careful all of you. I don't have a decent outfit to wear to a funeral.

When I took the golf cart safety class, the police officer said they got a call for a car stuck in a golf cart tunnel!

I am guilty myself on going onto Morse Blvd in a golf cart that couldn't go more than 15 mph. I imagrine my chargrin when people were trying to tell me that I committed a big sin. I was lucky to survive this big mistake.

I am sure these people were embarrassed at their mistake.
