Don't zip yourself inside your golf cart and then go off and get lost. The exhaust fumes will consume you.

Other than that, you're going to have a FABULOUS time. On our first visit we bought. It took about 1 day to realize this life style is exactly what we wanted.

Eat breakfast at TooJays and make sure you go dance in the square one evening

When going to park the cart do the double cart to a spot thing. You'll see what I mean if you observe. Other than that take you pass card to the pool and have a great time.

Go on the trolley tour from the The Villages sales office at Lake Sumter Landing. It takes about 1 hour, and it is narrated by a Villager. You won't see all of TV, but it will give you an overview of how spread out TV is. Go to some open houses -- both new and preowned homes. There are open houses listed every day in The Daily Sun, and also on The Villages - Florida's Friendliest Retirement Hometown - New Home Sales, Home Resales, Build Your Dream Home. As a wannabee, I try to ask Villagers questions while standing in line at stores, or in the squares or in restaurants. Definitely go to Lake Sumter Landing at night and dance or just listen to the music. Don't know how long your visit will be, but the square at Spanish Springs is closed for remodeling. When I was in TV last week, I heard the square at Spanish Springs would be reopening in early July, but that date could have changed since then. The stores, restaurants and movie theater at Spanish Springs are all open, so you can certainly visit, shop and eat at Spanish Springs. Have a wonderful time! Let us know what you think of TV.

Interesting today on the trolley I suggested to a couple to join TOTV and the nice lady guide said "oh no, they are so negative all the time".

Where does the trolley ride go now that homes are being built south of 466A? When I took the trolley tour in 2010, it was my first visit to TV, so I had no idea where I was, except I remember much of the trolley tour driving through the then brand new areas of Buttonwood and Pennecamp. Now that I am more familiar with TV than I was 2 years ago, I might take the Trolley Tour when I return to TV in October just for the heck of it.

They went to the end of the road south of 466A. Turned around by fireand rescue station.

Definitely take the trolly tour mentioned above and explore on your golf cart! I had a blast driving that around and discovered some nice scenic places, though I couldn't tell you exactly where! Spend at least 2 or 3 evenings in LSL (Lake Sumter Landing) as Spanish Springs likely will still be closed for remodeling.I liked sitting out at the restaurants people watching and asking lots of questions of the villagers! They are eager to point out what they like and are a very friendly bunch! Go out with an agent to see the model homes, go to the pool, play some golf, check out pickle ball, etc etc etc..... And don't forget to bring your checkbook!
