Default What are we going to do about the younger generation?

We don't have little grandchildren anymore, but I read a couple of days ago that somewhere out West the large Easter egg hunt held for years was cancelled because the parents jumped the perimeters and helped the little ones get more eggs and candy.

Helicoptor parents, they are called, hovering over their children even into college. I wonder if we have Helicoptor grandparents here in TV?

That reminds me of when I lived in Hunters Creek, Orlando. The women's association that I was a part of had a big festival in the spring called Bunny in the Park. We stuffed thousand of eggs and had an Easter egg hunt. We divided the kids into age groups. and only allowed hunters up to the age of 8. We STILL had to hold the parents back! Honestly, you'd think their kids had never had candy before! We finally had to divide the littlest ones up into groups of 30, and the 1-2 year old's parents had to wait at the opposite end of the "hunt" to take photographs.
