Thanks, it seems that Darrell Dodge is the only one left who installs garage windows. I had better get it done soon before he retires. He came out to my house once to show me the choices of windows and I told him I would think it over. I picked a style that seems to be popular around The Villages and will call him tonight. The price: $240.00

Darrell did ours. He cut out the pannels and installed the window inserts. His work was professionally done and looks great. He has different designs to choose from.

We wanted D. Dodge to do the job but were denied by Architectural Review. We can put glass in the front door, sky light/domes in the roof but NO windows in the garage door. Go figure..................................

Are there no windows in garage doors in your neighborhood? Do you live in a villa? Not sure if I've ever seen windows in the garage doors of villas.

I have had a garage door with and without windows. Much prefer windows as it makes the garage much nice in the day to have a little sun light.

We've got a patio villa with the window panels.

I dont know u were refused garage door windows. I have been doing this for 7 years in the villages and have never had any problems, the developer puts windows in in some of the houses. I do not change the panel, I cut out the embossed section of each panel and install a frame , glass and a backer panel and the design. There are about 12 designs that u can choose from. I have them all in stockl . The lead time is about 3 days

Just some advice. Do not have the windows installed before getting the ARC approval. If one of your neighbors squeals (or anyone just looking from the road) to the ARC, you will be required to have it put back to the original way.

Remember, these are the covenants you signed when you bought in The Villages.
