The Villages Show Kitchen - The Villages Entertainment

Has anyone else done this???

Ain't cheap, but it was a very enjoyable event.

My Bride signed us up.
I went grumbling all the way.
But I really enjoyed and recommend.

Advice.............get there early.
I would recommend at least 30 minutes early.
Even though you have a reservation, first-come-first-sit seating.
You will sit, but you might want one of the front row seats.

Thanks. Was thinking about it but haven’t signed up yet.

The goal is to build your confidence in cooking? Isn’t that special.

I've been to similar things back home, although usually at a much better price point, sometimes with a celebrity chef even.

$60 each seems a bit much to watch a random chef cook 4 appetizers for you to try.

My wife and I went. We had a wonderful time interacting with the other couples. The food was just OK and we did not learn much. We will not return. The segments we watch on YouTube or television have taught us more.

I'm cheap, so I thought the $60 was a bit steep as well........but it was worth it.

A poster mentioned "4 appetizers for you to try", it's not.
We had an app, entree, dessert, all the wine & beer you want.
Most people ended up taking food home........you won't leave hungry.

It was the Chef, two assistants and two servers.
The live Q&A is where it becomes educational.................if that is something you want.

The other Villagers were great to meet.

Yep - I am a regular at the show kitchen - usually attend once a week, sometimes twice - IMO it’s easily the best meal in The Villages. I really enjoy all the ethnic classes, especially since we are lacking in lots of ethnic restaurants in The Villages. Chef Scott is great - friendly and very knowledgeable. The support staff, is also awesome.

If anyone attends, look for me, and come and say hi! It’s always great to meet fellow TOTV users in person!

I'm cheap too but I'll most likely try it once. There's definitely worse things to spend $120 on.

Lopez and Prima Italian have similar events as Show Kitchen. It’s cheap wine and beer at any of them, but the food outcome is different. Would rate Prima, Lopez, and sawgrass last.
