Default Ground shaking in Village of Fenney

A little earlier today we had a big rumble and ground shaking in the Village of Fenney. The whole thing only lasted 5 seconds or so. Does anyone know the cause?

Could be the earth movers. When we bought our first home it was the only street completed. When the big movers came in it rattled the windows

Yes, my house in Fenney shook too. Scared me because I was waiting for the floor to disappear....

Don't know if it was effect of train problem. Freight train had stopped and blocked multiple crossings including the one at CR 466. Some one mentioned that there was a de-railment. This occurred around noon time.

It could have been a lightning strike down in Fenney. If it’s direct and close it can literally shake your house.

The last time it happened I was told it was the stone company down on 470 blowing up rocks, this was the third time since we moved here that it has happened. The first time I thought it was a truck wreck, the second I thought sink hole, but then found out it happens every couple months down here.

Default Ground shaking in Fenney

Newly built house next door in Fenney just about to be powerwashed at approximately 2 pm today when our whole house shook for a few seconds rattling the dishes in our cabinets. We said wow that is some powerwasher!!!!! Then realized it was more than that. Went outside and checked the house for damages. Anyone know the cause of this?

I use to be powder monkey at rock quarry about ever 4 or 5 days CoBOOM. If there is rock quarry close it was probably TNT and fertilizer. But, you should of heard it. then as the shock wave transmits out you would feel it if your within few miles.
