I went to Bella's. Was quoted $150 but was charged $200! It was one color which was not good at all and the hair cut was just a trim and terrible job at that!

I paid a pretty penny for a cut and color up north, and while probably not for everyone, I have been going to Tenaj, the local beauty college in The Villages. I have been very happy with the products used and quality of the cut and color. The students are constantly tutored and the instructors seem to know what they’re doing. And the price is right! $49!!

Hair & Nail Creations on Rt 44. I tried several salons before I found Hair & Nail. Fabulous stylists. They listen and do what you want. 352/330-4040. Ask for Ray if he has any available openings.

I have been going to Cathy at Split Ends Hair Salon 352-245-9925 believe they charge $55. for color and $10. for haircut. Reminds me of the girl I had back home. It is located on 441 north beside Big Al’s Barber Shop. Great job

Her hair dresser up north, should give your wife, the combo she use's to color her hair, so she can give it to her next hair dresser , while she is down here. That is NORMAL PROCEEDURE FOR HAIR DRESSERS TO DO. As for good hair cut, most are very very good and she should have no problem no matter where she chooses.

I didn’t think one color dyed hair was still a thing. I see lots of highlights, and natural with shiny toners. Either way cheap is never a good look

Thanks for the tip. Yes, my wife has the combo from her current hair stylist.
Maybe I can do it for her :-) Not!

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Cheap? Or just less expensive? Lots of folks spend a lot of money to have the illusion that what they bought is somehow better than the less expensive option. You don't always get what you paid for.
Just so long as you are happy with the result, that is all that truly matters.

LOL, my wife would drive 90+ miles from N Jersey to S. Jersey (Marlton) every 6 weeks for her $180 + tip hair dresser (and NO, we really couldn't afford it but happy wife, happy life). She says "hairdressers are like Groin-a-cologists, you gotta find one who has good hands." Since we moved down here about 4 yrs ago it has been h3ll with her hair. If I could afford it I'd send her up north every 6 weeks to make her happy but she has to suffer with the $140 one here who all she does is complain about. I told her to just go to Cal's and get the $17 "Villages Ladies Cut" that probably half the women have here but she threatened to leave me.

When we moved from the Shore to the western suburbs of Philly I continued to drive to Lanoka Harbor every 4 weeks to get my hair cut and colored for ten years (until we moved to FL full-time). Almost a two hour drive each way but worth it. Plus I got to have dinner at my fave Shore restaurant. Hubby thought I was crazy but ...
