Take 17 south to I 95 at Fredericksburg VA
That's the way we go also, won't go near NYC, NJ, Deleware, or the beltway. From Western Mass we go the Mass Pike to the Taconic to 84 and pick up 81 in Scranton then cut across to I95 in Fredericksburg. Usually spend night number one in Winchester, VA and night number two in either Manning or Santee, SC. Can't wait for our next trip.

Can't fly with the dog and we are not the type to buy a service dog vest on Amazon and pretend we have a service dog to game the system.

I95 South of DC seems to be slow no matter when you go.
