Default Has anyone enlarged a window? Added a pool cage? Size of swim spa?

If we found a villa in TV that needed a pool cage added and a sider to the lanai enlarged, well, would that be possible and has anyone had it done?

The pool cage could have a problem because of set-back rules. Is there someplace that I could read the rules, or do I have to get them from the salesperson?

The slider could be replaced, but will the committee approve the exterior change of a villa?

Also, I asked in the forum for new people about the size of the swim spas at TV, but did not get an answer. Maybe this is the right forum in which to ask. Does anyone know the size, especially depth?

We have a lot to do before we can move to TV, but still would like to have the questions answered. The answers will have something to do with what we decide to buy.

Thanks!

Here's a link to a google search for swim spas. You might want to browse thru that to see if your questions get answered.

Thanks Steve, I wonder if one certain brand or type is used by TV?

Sorry, but there I can't help. I use the local pool. I want to be free of maintaining anything!

We had a swim/spa and cage installed behind our villa. Florida Pool & Spa, (Randy & Vera Martin), did a fabulous job. Everything was designed specifically to meet setback requirements. I don't know if the requirements are the same for every villa location, but the point is I believe competent companies like Florida Pool can build what you'd like and comply to all regulations. You'd be amazed what will fit into what appears to be small spaces! The window change must be approved, but the Villages keep saying the approval process is quick and reasonable. Good Luck!

Thanks for the information. Will keep it in mind as we look at homes.
