My villa backs to the extra parking for the adjoining villa neighborhood, so there's nothing behind me.
While I like the wide open space, I'd also like to consider some landscaping for various reasons: 1) buffer from the neighborhood 2) zero lawn maintenance 3) beauty I KNOW (and I will soon enough regardless of what I learn here) to ask the Architectural Review Board, but I was just wondering if anyone had ever seen landscaping at the back??? Thanks and enjoy your day.... |

We rented in a Patio Villa that had a tall row of something in the back to hid the house behind it.

When we were looking for our home (adamant on a resale rather than new), as snowbirds we automatically were looking at patio villas, and I'd have to say, in a word, no, we didn't see any that had its own landscaping in the back. We did look at a few that backed to roads (Lynnhaven Lane is one that I can recall) and there was landscaping at the back of the villa's property, but this was landscaping along the road rather than part of the villa itself. We ended up with a designer home (a long story...) with all sorts of landscaping in the back.
