Default Has Anyone Tried Sugar Bears Delights and had their Gelato

We just tried Sugar Bears Delights and had their Gelato. It was very good, ok nothing compares to what I had in Italy but this stuff is really good! They're located a few doors down from Takis where Coldstone Creamery used to be.
Also last Saturday at the Brownwood Market we tried some goodies from The Proper Pie Company a British restaurant in Davenport, Fl. Bangers were great as was the Scottish Meat and Onion pie. Will definitely be trying more of their products!

I sent my wife a cut and paste email of the above comment about the Gelato and noted that you spelled the restaurant "Takis". I thought it should be "Taki's".

Checked their website and the restaurant in Leesburg is spelled 's while the one in front of Bealls on 441/27 is just s. I believe it is the same owners - kinda strange.

Looking forward to checking out the Gelato when we return in October - maybe after a pizza at Takis.

PS: I worked at The Arlington Race Track in the concessions dept payroll office for two seasons after high school graduation.

We went to Sugar Bears, OK, but we like plain old ice cream better. The gelato is too sweet. Kind of expensive too. That was the first gelato we had ever tried so we can't compare them to other gelato places.

As pointed out above, no one in America makes gelato the way they do in Italy, as I know from my travels, because everything from the Old Country is dummed down to American tastes. But I'll have to try the gelato when we get to The Villages for our January-March 2015 rental stay.

Never tried the Gelato, but I am an alumnus of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights.
