stereo/Ipod system to their outdoor lanai? We are in the process of adding onto our lanai but are not enclosing it. ( we like the fresh breeze) We want to add the outdoor speakers and add an interior system to be able to enjoy either our Ipod or radio, etc while outdoors. Anyone done this? Would love some feedback/input/advice if you have...Thanks!

I hope your neighbors share your taste in music, the frequency of it playing and the volume. There was a thread not long ago about the loud music coming from a country club. At least those folks should have expected music, or noise, depending on your view, buying a house close to a country club or rec center. Your neighbors are in for a surprise.

Depending on how the homes are placed on the lot I think loud talking has been a problem so I would probably pass on the system unless you have a very private lanai.

You may want to place the speakers so they face back toward the house and not away from it. That will lessen the risk of someone complaining about the music. Sound carries here, especially over water. sometimes very clearly. If there are homes across the water from you they may still hear your music and be bothered by it. I'm not that close to LSL and I can hear the music from there most of the time.

I bought a Sony dock for my iPhone/iPod and can place it outside when I want music there. And I can bring it in so I don't have to worry about weather damaging it.

I had my home pre-wired by Galaxy Solutions including volume control switch plus a couple speakers. Wiring came back to where my multi-channel receiver is at. The cool thing is it will play from my iPad. I can't wait to move there permanently to finish it by adding the speakers. Call Darrell at Galaxy he will do a good job.

Bose out of Orlando put one in for me, both inside and out. I'm very pleased with it and I am always courteous to my neighbors

Don't all of those things accept headphones?
